Szegedy Dominates At Monadnock

WINCHESTER, N.H. - Todd Szegedy showed everyone why he is still someone to watch on the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour.
Szegedy, the 2003 champion, started from the pole and led every lap to win the Monadnock 200 Sunday for his 15th career tour win and first since August of last year.
With his win Szegedy became the fourth different winner in as many races this season on the tour and it was his first top-five finish of the season.

Rich Scagliotta Picks up First Big Block Modified win at Brewerton

A couple seasons ago New Jerseys Rich Scagliotta said he started coming north to the Brewerton Speedway because he wanted to compete against the best Big Block Modified drivers in the business. Friday night all that hard work paid off as Scagliotta passed Chuck Bower with one lap to go to pick up his first ever Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modified win. With Scagliotta’s victory he became the ninth different winner in nine feature events run this season.

By Charlie Brown, Delmar, DE (5/14/11) – Second generation driver, Brad Trice of Parsonsburg, Md. put on the drive of his career Saturday night as he captured his first career NAPA Big Block Modified feature. Trice started on the pole but the win was far from being a piece of cake as he had to hold off five time division champion H.J. Bunting throughout the second half of the race.

Australian V8 Dirt Modified Champion Peter Britten behind the wheel of the Troyer, No.21A grabbed the lead on lap 6 of the 35 lap Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modified and looked to be heading to the easy win. A late charge by Billy Decker had all the fans on their feet with Britten picking up the wildly popular win by 0.824 at the checkers over Decker.
